Natural bath, spa, & body care products are usually made by smaller companies by hand with more natural botanicals, plant essential oils, vegetable/nut butters, oils and other natural ingredients.

Most “natural” products are made in smaller batches, which ensure your products are FRESH, not years old by the time you use them as many are in the “big box” stores.

Because of this, you will encounter products with fewer chemicals, preservatives, and alcohols, which are used by larger commercial companies to preserve beauty and food products for a longer shelf-life.

Chamomile Cottage Bath, Spa, & Body Care Products are made with Sweet Almond, Apricot Kernel, Avocado, Coconut, Olive, Hemp Seed, Grape Seed, Wheat Germ, Emu, Sunflower, Soy, Safflower, and other vegetable and nut oils. We also use Fair Trade Shea Butter, Mango Butter, Cocoa Butter, Coffee Butter, Hemp Seed Butter, and other vegetable and nut butters.

Our products are scented with a variety of Plant Essential Oils, which are natural, not chemical fragrances. There are many wonderful scents created by man using chemicals that mimic “natural” aromas like Blueberry, Strawberry, Cranberry, Pomegranate, Lilac, and other fruits, vegetables, and flowers. While these smell delightful, most are not “natural” scents, but chemically re-created.

I do have some products in my house that are used by my family that have chemical fragrances, but the things I choose for my family to use on their skin are usually created by myself and have only natural plant essential oils in them for scent.

Essential oils are wonderful, but very powerful. They have been known for thousands of years to change people’s moods, to heal wounds, to balance skin conditions, to soothe psyche, to preserve foods, to pray to Gods, and more.

Essential oils can be very dangerous when undiluted and should be handled by someone who has extensive knowledge and training in their use, application, and proper storage.
